Community Health and Safety Commitments Community Health and Safety Commitments As a community we are committed to reducing the possibility of Covid-19 transmission between students, staff and families while engaged in face to face learning at PCCH. In addition to the safety measures and protocols implemented by the PCCH administration, we as a larger PCCH Community (including all Teaching faculty, staff, families and caregivers), agree to the following commitments in our personal and professional lives to keep our community healthy and safe: • We acknowledge and accept the responsibility that our individual actions and decisions could impact the health and safety of the larger PCCH community, which includes vulnerable and immune compromised individuals. • We will minimize risk and exposure to Covid-19 in our own lives. We will not attend large gatherings or indoor gatherings, and will always follow best practices regarding mask wearing, hand washing, and social distancing in our personal and professional lives. • We will be honest and forthcoming about any potential exposure to anyone infected with Covid-19. If anyone in our households or anyone we have come into close contact with is showing signs of sickness or is being tested for COVID (or has a laboratory confirmed positive test) we will communicate immediately with PCCH leadership. In such circumstances, we will keep our children and ourselves home until we have a laboratory confirmed negative test. • We will not send a child to school if/when the child has a fever OR shows any signs of illness that the CDC lists as possible COVID-19 symptoms; the child will stay home until symptoms are gone and/or until a negative COVID test is secured, depending on likelihood of infection.
